LC coach Mark Tippett commented: "Our team took several big
steps forward this weekend. The passers really stepped up and
did a much better job of delivering passes that we could turn
into offensive opportunities. Both of our setters were able to
consistently find open hitters, which gave our front-row players
the chance to show what they can do. We were pushed hard by the
teams we played this weekend and had to perform under pressure
in order to win. I am seeing a lot of progress in this group,
and it is satisfying to have the work they are putting in during
practice show up on the court. We still struggled with missed
serves and defensive intensity at times this weekend, but our
athleticism and improved communication helped us overcome these
challenges."
Lincoln will host conference and region opponent Danville Area
Community College on Wednesday evening at 6.
