BEASON -- Sunday was Fall Farm Day at Gail's Pumpkin Patch near Beason.

The unique specialty crop farm is owned and operated by David and Gail Sasse and features a wide variety of fall favorites such as pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, locally grown apples, apple cider, apple butter, jams and Sasse's Apiary Honey.

On Sunday there were activities for young and old alike, including farm tours and a barrel train ride for the kids.

Gail Sasse said it was another successful event for the farm, in spite of the heat. Throughout the day the place was abuzz with folks, and the large parking area outside the retail barn was filled most of the time.

If you missed Fall Farm Day, don't be too sad. Gail's Pumpkin Patch will be open through the end of October and is always a great place to go for a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon drive.
