BEASON -- In addition to raising pumpkins and gourds, the Sasses have honeybees and harvest the honey. Sasse's Apiary sells the honey products in a variety of sizes.

Honey is a delicious natural sweetening and flavoring product. Many folks like a little stream on their warm biscuits, and others enjoy a dollop in their hot tea.

In addition, honey has medicinal purposes. While it is not recommended for use by infants, the adults and older children can benefit from its soothing powers when suffering from sore throats or colds.

Gail's also offers products from surrounding neighborhoods. Included in their line of food items are Planks apple butters and jams made in Arthur.

This year the Sasses also offered apples grown on their farm as well as from some of their neighbors.
