Lincoln opened up the scoring when Peter Niederer hit a long 40-yard
blast that beat the Jefferson goalie. "We had a game plan in mind
prior to the match and the boys did great at staying to it," said
Lincoln head coach Ben Massena. "We got into some really nice spots
and kept a strong Jefferson College off the scoreboard."
Ben Frogner scored the second goal to put LC up 2-0 in first
half.
Jefferson came out pressing hard, but the Lynx were still able to
move the ball well and had several chances to score more goals. The
third and final goal came when Kevin Lopez dribbled past a Jefferson
player and crossed a ball to the top of the box, where Julio Zarco
hit a side volley to the far post to put the game away at 3-0.

"I'm very proud with the guys," Massena said. "We put 90
minutes together (Saturday) and showed we are a top team when we
play as a unit."
This moves LC to 5-1 on the season.
Next up is region powerhouse Lincoln Land College, currently 8-1.
