[September 24, 2013]  The Lincoln Christian University women's soccer team hosted NAIA member Stephens College on Saturday. It turned out to be a great day for LCU (2-3) as they won 5-2.

The game started out quickly for LCU as they were able to control the possession of the ball on a continuous basis. After LCU scored the first goal of the game, Stephens College quickly responded by scoring a goal of their own. However, once LCU broke the 1-1 tie, the game quickly belonged to LCU and they ran away with the 5-2 victory.

In her first game back from an ankle injury, senior Moriah Kirkpatrick (Mount Vernon/John A. Logan College) led the offensive attack for LCU, scoring two goals while taking three total shots on goal. Senior Jessica Hoskins (Hudson/Heartland Community College) was right there with Kirkpatrick, also scoring two goals. Senior mid-fielder Elizabeth Langley (Mahomet/Mahomet-Seymour High) also scored a goal and recorded an assist.
