[September 24, 2013]  The Logan County clerk and recorder's office is announcing a new service it will provide in land records. The office wants to make sure that constituents are informed about the new online service and will host a meeting about it on Friday.

As we evolve in the technology era, one of the goals of the county clerk and recorder's office is to continue to provide services that improve and enhance interaction with the office. In recently partnering with Fidlar Technologies, one of the services that the office will offer soon is the capability to search documents online. One of the major benefits of this online access is the opportunity to search all of the land record indexing information and images from the convenience of your office or home.

The service will require a fee, either per document or monthly, and the website and service will be maintained fully by Fidlar Technologies in a safe, secure atmosphere.

On Friday at 1 p.m., representatives from Fidlar Technologies and staff from the clerk and recorder's office will be available to discuss the benefits of online access, provide a full demonstration of the products, and share information regarding fees for accessing Laredo and Tapestry. This meeting will be in the third floor courtroom of the Logan County Courthouse

People who currently do business involving land records in Montgomery, Sangamon, Christian, Cass, Champaign and Vermilion counties may already be familiar with these two products. Potential users or their representatives are invited to attend this event to learn more about the many benefits of these programs.
