Ed Jodlowski named new Olympia High School principal

[March 26, 2014]  STANFORD — The Olympia Board of Education approved the appointment of Ed Jodlowski as the new Olympia High School principal for the 2014-15 school year. Mr. Jodlowski comes to Olympia from Illini Central and has 24 years of experience in education.

He graduated from Olympia High School, is a former Olympia High School language arts teacher and coach, a parent of Olympia high school students, and lives in Atlanta.

"I am very excited to have the great opportunity to come home and lead the Olympia High School," Jodlowski said. "It is a dream to return to Olympia."

He taught at Olympia from 1990 to 2001 and was an instructor in curriculum and instruction at Illinois State University from 1999-2000. From 2001 to 2008, he taught language arts at Lincoln High School, and he currently serves as principal at Illini Central as well as director of teaching and learning.

Mr. Jodlowski shared: "What drew me back to Olympia was the collegial atmosphere that exists. I longed to be a part of it once again. There is just something special about the entire Olympia organization that I look forward to serving."
