[April 12, 2014]  ATLANTA — Peggy and Tom Payne, managers of Atlanta's Palms Grill Café, invite the public to a grand opening on Tuesday. A number of special offers and activities are planned as a way to thank the public for supporting The Grill.

Special grand opening prizes will be given out all day long. There will be free cupcakes for everyone (while supplies last) and free coffee with the purchase of any breakfast. In addition, The Grill will introduce a new feature starting that day: carryout chicken buckets.

In early March, Tom and Peggy were selected by the Atlanta Public Library, the owner of The Grill, to be the cafe's new, full-time managers.

The Grill features daily blue-plate specials, daily evening specials, Fat Boys BBQ, and delicious desserts, homemade cinnamon rolls and pecan-caramel rolls from Peggy's Place Bakery. On Sundays, a tasty brunch menu is offered, including fried chicken, pulled pork, sausage, breakfast casserole, biscuits and gravy, vegetables, potatoes, salad bar, fresh homemade bread, and a dessert bar, served from 10 a.m. to 2.p.m.

To make reservations, phone 217-648-CAFE (2233) or email eat@palmsgrillcafe.com. The Grill is open Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sundays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
