[April 12, 2014]  (The Sports Xchange) — After the Jacksonville Jaguars announced Friday that they signed center Alex Mack to an offer sheet, the Cleveland Browns responded by saying they will match it.

Financial details were not disclosed, but ESPN reported that it is a five-year, $42 million offer that includes $26 million in guaranteed money.

"We have talked about keeping our own players and this is a positive for us," Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement.

The 6-foot-4, 311-pound Mack was drafted by the Browns in the first round in 2009. He has not missed an offensive play in five years, a run of 4,998 consecutive snaps.

The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Damian Williams to a one-year contract.

The 6-3, 193-pound Williams spent the past four seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2010-13). He appeared in 54 games with 17 starts. He has 106 catches for 1,313 yards and five touchdowns.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick responded Friday to reports that he and two other players are involved in an incident in Miami.

Police said Thursday they were following up after an April 1 incident that involves Kaepernick, 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette.

"The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong," Kaepernick wrote Friday on Twitter. "They make things up about me that never happened.

"I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up."

Texas A&M redshirt sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel reportedly scored a 32 on the Wonderlic intelligence test, tops among the highest-ranked prospects at the position in the 2014 NFL Draft.

For most teams, the timed logic and reasoning test is used to gauge calm and critical thinking in a pressure environment.
