Jan Rutledge receives LCU promotion

[April 14, 2014]  Jan Rutledge, director of the Academic Resource Center at Lincoln Christian University, has been promoted to full faculty in the School of Undergraduate Studies, effective June 1. Rutledge began working at LCU in 1998 and was added to its faculty in 2001. She teaches study skills and preparatory English for the School of Undergraduate Studies and serves as general education field chair.

Rutledge holds a bachelor's degree in education (1986) and a master's degree in education (1995) from Eastern Illinois University and is a contributing author to a work in progress on student retention.

Faculty receiving the advanced rank of full professor at LCU generally have a doctorate and 10 years of professional experience, or a master's degree and 12 years of professional experience. Additionally, potential candidates for full professorship must have demonstrated continuous improvement and significant professional achievement as an associate professor for at least five years.
