[April 22, 2014]  The jazz studies program at Lincoln College will wrap up the spring semester with concerts on Friday and Saturday. Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Meyer Theatre in the Johnston Center for Performing Arts on the Lincoln campus. The concerts will last approximately 90 minutes.

The concerts, titled "Reflection," will honor the seniors in the jazz studies program. In May, Lincoln College will graduate its first class of students with a bachelor's degree in jazz studies.

Both concerts will feature the lab band, jazz combo, saxophone quartet, the full jazz ensemble band and three vocalists. Jazz studies director Scott Woger said some selections from the Friday concert may be repeated on Saturday, but not all.

"Each group is planning for two different concerts. It won't be the exact same show both nights," Woger said.

Admission is free; donations will be accepted. There will also be a silent auction each night as a fundraiser for the jazz studies program.
