[April 24, 2014]  MOUNT PULASKI — Alexis Bowles, daughter of Bryan Bowles and Tina Johansson of Mount Pulaski, has been named April Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Academically, Alexis is one of the top students in the Class of 2014 at Mount Pulaski High School. She has been very involved in school and in the community. She has been a member of FFA for two years, FCCLA for four years and Spirit Squad for four years. She is the senior class treasurer and works in the community as a bank teller and as a lifeguard at the Mount Pulaski pool. She is also going on a mission trip to Guatemala with the Mount Pulaski Christian Church in June.

Alexis plans on attending Lincoln Land Community College in the fall and then transferring to a university after two years to pursue a degree in neuroscience so she can have a career studying neuromuscular diseases.
