Kay Mullins, 81, of Lincoln died Monday, April 28, 2014, at 2:26
a.m. at her home.

LINCOLN-Kay Mullins, 81, of Lincoln died at 2:26
a.m. April 28, 2014 at her home.
Kay was born March 31, 1933 in Hartsburg, the
daughter of John T. and Dorothy Shirley Behrends.
She married Harold Mullins August 22, 1953 in
Hartsburg. He preceded her in death on February 28,
1987.
Kay is survived by one daughter: Ramona Mullins of
Lincoln; one grandson: Zachary Mullins (Kelsey Gries)
of Lamoni, IA; two sisters: Marianne Wagner of Emden,
and Lois Rae (Jack) Merskin of Lincoln;
brother-in-law: Orvil Shaffer of Lincoln; Nieces and
Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
and sisters: Shirley Shaffer and infant sister
Ramona Lee Behrends.
Kay was a claims analyst for Social Security
Administration. She was a member of Prairieland
Christian Church in Hartsburg.
Services for Kay will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May
2, 2014 at Lincoln Christian Church in Lincoln with
Ryan Edgecombe and John Cox officiating. Visitation
will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family.
