[July 31, 2014]  LINCOLN — Atlanta- Lloyd H. Nolan, 85, of Atlanta passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 1:05 a.m. at the Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale.

Visitation: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta

Service: Thursday 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Atlanta -- Lloyd H. Nolan, 85, of Atlanta, passed away July 28, 2014 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Nolan will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Henry Johnson, Ann Windsor and Jere Berre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.

Mr. Nolan is survived by his wife, Hilda Carson Nolan ; two sons: Kenneth (Debra) Nolan of Virginia Beach, Va. and Lloyd H. (Ann) Nolan, Jr. of New Orleans; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Mr. Nolan was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.

Lloyd Herman Nolan was born November 4, 1928, in New Orleans, the son of Herman F. and Annette Dibartolo Nolan. He married Hilda Carson on December 1, 1965, in New Orleans. She survives.

Lloyd was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Lincoln. He was involved in prison ministries at both Lincoln and Logan Correctional centers. He retired from Southern Pacific railroad as a conductor after 45 years of service.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
