Fifth Street fire damage estimated at $90,000

[August 01, 2014]  LINCOLN - On July 30 at 9:30 p.m. the Lincoln fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1402 Fifth Street in Lincoln.

Fire unites arrived on scene and encountered a large amount of fire coming out of the front room windows and onto the front porch. Entry team made entry and made a quick stop on the fire. Lincoln Rural was also on the scene to assist. All Lincoln off duty personnel were paged to assist also. Investigators for the Lincoln Fire Department remained on scene.

Lincoln Fire Department would like to thank the Lincoln Police Department, Logan County Paramedics, and Lincoln Rural for their assistance on scene, and Atlanta Fire Department for manning the Lincoln station during the fire.

There were three people that lived in the house along with several pets.

There were no injuries reported but there was one pet that died in the fire.

The damage to the structure and property is estimated at $90,000.
