[August 04, 2014]  LINCOLN - A small group of contestants played to a full house Saturday afternoon at the Logan County Fair. The annual talent show included plenty of talent and lots of singing and dancing.

Each group or individual that took the stage, no matter the type performance, was judged in the categories of costume, audience appeal, stage presence and abilities.

Most of the contestants in the junior division were very sparkly.  Graceful dancer Grace Doolin exhibited grace under pressure as technical difficulties delayed her performance.  In a white dress with silver sparkles, Zoie Dunse sang a heartfelt rendition of “Over You” in memory of her cousin Drew.  Tiny dancer Ivy Sandel in her sparkly tutu performed a lively dance.  And, musical group “Switch Revival” rocked the house with their upbeat music.

The senior division was made up of only two contestants, but both showed great talent with Alexis Huffman singing a stirring acapella version of “Rolling in the Deep” and Elizabeth Siebert singing a moving version of “I Will Call Upon Your Name.”

First place went to “Switch Revival” in the junior division and Elizabeth Seibert in the seniors.  Both will compete in January against other county fair winners.
