Gregory A. Steffen, 48, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Symphony of Lincoln.

Greg was born June 30, 1966 in Peoria, IL., the son of William Ray Steffen and Judith A. Bruce. He was raised and educated locally. After completing his primary education he joined the Peoria National Guard. Gregory married Lisa Fuller in Peoria. He was employed with Red Carpet Car Wash and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

On January 1, 1992, Gregory was involved in a hit and run accident that left him in a coma and hospitalized from 1992 until his passing.

Gregory is survived by his mother Judith Bruce and sister DeAnne Dowell of Peoria, IL.; his grandmother LaVonda J. Steffen of Erick, OK, his aunt Sandra Finck; his uncles Bob Steffen, Ken Steffen, and Dennis Steffen and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside services will be held August 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made to Symphony of Lincoln.
