[August 12, 2014]  EMDEN - Peggy A. Coady, 82, of Emden, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. at her home.

 

Visitation: None

Service: A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.

Obituary

Peggy Coady, 82, of Emden, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. at her home.

A Memorial Mass for Peggy will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln. Rev. Glenn Fontana will officiate.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Peggy is survived by her husband: Thomas John Coady of Emden; children: Mary B. (Joe) Hoiles of Frisco, Tex. and Robert M. Coady of Arcadia, Fla.; one sister: Nancy (David) Poole of Emden and one brother: William Elkins of Lincoln; two grandchildren: Erin Coady and Tommy Coady, both of Irvington, Ala.; and one great-grandchild: Aubrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Thomas John Coady, Jr.

Funeral Director

Peggy A. Elkins was born January 27, 1932, in Lincoln, the daughter of Burl C. and Anna Mari Voyles Elkins. She married Thomas John Coady on December 6, 1952, in Elkhart. He survives.

Peggy's favorite quote to say was, "That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Christian Village Nursing Home Alzheimer's Unit or Safe Haven Hospice.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
