Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home

Obituary

Nikita Christine Marie Kennedy, 27, of Lincoln, passed away August 07, 2014.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 also at the funeral home with Ron Otto officiating. Burial will follow in Lawndale Cemetery. There will be a luncheon following graveside services at Lincoln Christian Church.

Nikita was born September 6, 1986 in Springfield, IL. She loved spending time with her children, especially taking them to the park. She was always willing to help others before herself and never took anyone for granted.

Surviving are her great grandmother Pauline White of Lincoln, IL.; her grandmother Delores Jean Hart of Indiana; her mother Cristal Bruce of Lincoln, IL.; her children: Landon Beurrier, Omarion Edwards, and Andrea Edwards; her siblings: James Bruce of Springfield, IL., Savanna Bruce of Lincoln, IL., Wilda Bruce of Lincoln, IL., and Bionka Bruce of Lincoln, IL.; her uncle Michael (Leslie) Hart of South Pekin, IL.; her niece Josephine Skelton of Lincoln, IL; and several cousins and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home and at Logan County Bank.
