[August 27, 2014]  RB Seniorise Perry is making a real run at a roster spot and his ability to return kicks is a big factor. He may need to produce a couple big returns and win the return job because he's competing for third running back with fourth-round draft pick Ka'Deem Carey and it seems unlikely they'd be willing to cut a fourth-round pick so quickly.

QB David Fales will make his first start at quarterback, but coach Marc Trestman hasn't yet announced whether he'll keep a third quarterback. So it's possible Fales might be cut and they might make an attempt to bring him back to the practice squad. However, the signing by Jordan Palmer with Buffalo might make Fales a little more valuable now since an injury to Jay Cutler couldn't result in the Bears calling Palmer back after cutting him last weekend.

T/G Eben Britton is practicing again after recovering from a hamstring injury.

T Jordan Mills continues to practice following a foot injury, but coach Marc Trestman hadn't decided by Tuesday whether he'd risk giving Mills playing time. Some or all of the first-team offensive line is starting Thursday's game.
