[December 06, 2014]  Dec 5 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Friday's National Basketball Association games:

Celtics 113, Lakers 96

The Boston Celtics rolled to an emphatic win over the Los Angeles Lakers in a battle between two long-time rivals who have fallen on hard times.

The Celtics (6-11) led almost throughout against Kobe Bryant's Lakers (5-15).

Center Tyler Zeller scored a career-high 24 points and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds to power the Celtics to their first win in eight games against the Western Conference.

Spurs 107, Grizzlies 101

The Memphis Grizzlies had a 22-game regular season home winning streak halted by the San Antonio Spurs.

Tim Duncan posted a triple-double for the Spurs, finishing with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Tony Parker left the game in the third quarter with a mild hamstring strain.

Cavaliers 105, Raptors 91

LeBron James scored 24 points and added 13 assists and seven rebounds as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors to extend their winning streak to six games.

Hornets 103, Knicks 102

Kemba Walker hit a driving layup as time expired and the Charlotte Hornets snapped a 10-game losing streak with a wild win over the New York Knicks.

Walker's winner came after the Hornets blew a 21-point second-half lead. Carmelo Anthony's three-pointer gave the Knicks a 102-101 lead with 40 seconds left.

Wizards 119, Nuggets 89

John Wall almost recorded a triple-double with 12 assists, nine points and eight rebounds despite not playing in the fourth quarter for the Washington Wizards, who easily scored their most points this season as they demolished the Denver Nuggets.

Six players scored in double figures for the Wizards (13-5), who won their fourth straight game, all at home.

Hawks 98, Nets 75

DeMarre Carroll scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half and the Atlanta Hawks ran their winning streak to five games with a rout of the Brooklyn Nets.

Thunder 103, Sixers 91

Two nights after posting their first victory of the season, the Philadelphia 76ers reverted to form as Russell Westbrook scored 27 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a comfortable road win.

Rockets 114, Timberwolves 112 (overtime)

Nick Johnson's driving layup with less than one second remaining in overtime saw the depleted Houston Rockets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.

James Harden scored a season-high 38 points for the Rockets.

Suns 118, Mavericks 106

Goran Dragic had 28 points and 13 assists as the Phoenix Suns notched a significant road victory over Dallas.

Dragic, the Suns' leading scorer in the last three games, was instrumental in keeping Phoenix ahead down the stretch as the Mavericks (15-6) saw their five-game winning streak end.

Bucks 109, Heat 85

Kendall Marshall matched his career-high 20 points and the Milwaukee Bucks snapped a season-high three-game losing streak with a home victory over the Miami Heat, who lost their third in a row despite a 28-point night from Dwayne Wade.

Magic 98, Jazz 93

Tobias Harris scored 22 points as the Orlando Magic beat the Utah Jazz for the first time in eight outings.

Kings 102, Pacers 101 (OT)

Carl Landry grabbed team mate Rudy Gay's air ball and put it back in with 0.8 seconds left in overtime and the Sacramento Kings escaped with victory over the Indiana Pacers. (Editing by Andrew Both/Peter Rutherford)
