[December 09, 2014]  LINCOLN - The Lynx’s Men’s & Women’s Swim/Dive teams returned to the windy city (Chicago) for a Quadrangular swim meet with Illinois Institute of Technology, Eureka, and Manchester University. The Lady Lynx squad of Ally Lawson, Morgan Glendenning, Lizzi Herzog and Lakan Richardson achieved a NJCAA national cut time in the 200 Medley Relay.

The men followed with a Splash-n-dash finish in the Medley event, with Jason McCoy chasing down the Scarlet Hawks swimmer and out-reached him to the wall by .19 seconds to score first.

Other National cut swims included 6’-6” Jar ‘mar Moore dropping 1.2 seconds in the 50 free grabbing his first collegiate points in an individual event and punching a ticket to Buffalo for the National meet. Ally Lawson’s first swims of the season were a pleasant surprise and she swam the fastest time of the meet for the women’s 50 freestyle. She swam down & back in 27.81 seconds.

Other fast swims included Garrett Evans 5 second drop in the 200 IM, Ayiana Franklin-Powell’s 3 second drop in the 100 Free, and Morgan’s national cut and 2nd place in the 200 Freestyle.

Next up for the Lynx is a home meet on January 16 or 17th – TBD.
