[December 13, 2014]  LINCOLN - Christeen Cowen, 87, of Lincoln died at 3:10 a.m. December 9, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Visitation: Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: Friday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Christeen Cowen, 87, of Lincoln died at 3:10 a.m. December 9, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Christeen was born September 25, 1927 in Kentucky, the daughter of John Givan and Katherine Lynn Moxley.

Christeen is survived by her children: Loretta (Bernie Cox) Ingram of Lincoln; Benetta (Jerry) Belt of Springfield, IL; Connie Chappel of Lincoln; Grandchildren: Susan Ellis, Bobby Cowen, Christie Ozee, Janice Belt, Randy Ingram, Brian Ingram; Great grandchildren: Dalton March, Beau March, Jatrell Belt, Allie Belt, Lauren Ingram; and God children: Rosalinda Sanchez and Raylee Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Phillip, two brothers: Jepthea and Joseph; three sisters: Katherine, Roberta and an infant sister, Louise.

Christeen worked at the Bottle Factory and lived for and loved her kids.

Services for Christeen will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Henry Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service and burial will be at a later date at New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be given in her memory to Humane Society of Logan County.
