[December 17, 2014]  Dec 16 (The Sports Xchange) - Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin wa activated from injured reserve and was eligible to play Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings.

Tyutin, 31, missed the past 13 games due to a sprained knee. He was injured Nov. 14 at Philadelphia. Tyutin has recorded two assists and six penalty minutes in 16 games this season.

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy was recalled from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League and will join the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Vasilevskiy, 20, was the 19th overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Lightning. He appeared in 14 games with Syracuse this season, going 8-3-3 with a 2.34 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.

The Winnipeg Jets will be without defenseman Jacob Trouba until at least February because of an upper-body injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Injuries have hit the Jets' hard on the blue line. Tobias Enstrom and Zach Bogosian are also out with upper-body injuries and neither is expected back until early to mid-January.

The Buffalo Sabres obtained left winger Jerry D'Amigo on Tuesday in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets center Luke Adam.

D'Amigo will join Rochester of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Adam had 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points and 32 penalty minutes in 87 career NHL games for the Sabres. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
