Counterfeit $100's found circulating in Lincoln

[December 30, 2014]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln Police Department has encountered at two different locations where counterfeit $100 bills (serial number: LB08927390G) have been passed.

The Lincoln Police Department wants to make all businesses aware that there are subject(s) in the Lincoln area passing these counterfeit $100 bills out. The Lincoln Police Department suggests all business follow their procedures for identifying counterfeit money.

These $100 bills will pass the 'marker test' and to observe carefully all $100 bills passed.

If any business or anyone has any counterfeit US currency or believes they may possess such, please call the Lincoln Police Department.

If anyone has knowledge of any person(s) using or distributing counterfeit US currency, please call the Lincoln Police Department (217-732-2151) or Crime Stoppers (217-732- 3000).
