Not sleet, snow or freezing rain could stop the crowds from coming out for the 37th annual Zion Lutheran pancake and sausage breakfast. If anything, the frigid, nasty weather made the thought of fresh, hot pancakes and the special homemade sausage all the more appealing.

Principal Steve Schumacher stood watch at the front door and said the crowds had been good all through the morning.

The ticket sellers stayed busy all morning.

And there are plenty to keep them both busy.

Volunteers at the bake sale also stayed busy.

The offering of silent auction items lined three walls of the room.

Fun with origami was available for anyone who wanted to check out this art form.
