To the editor: I noticed that you posted items from Illinois
Watchdog as state news. I also noticed how consistently one-sided
the items were that I wondered what they were doing being labeled
"news" and not opinion.
It turns out Illinois Watchdog is not a news organization, but a
political organization created to put out one-sided articles that
should not be labeled as news. It is funded by a group that calls
itself Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity.

Note from LDN publisher: We appreciate Mr. Muller's
observation, and agree with him that Illinois Watchdog should go
under the opinion section. You can continue to find Illinois
Watchdog under the LDN Perspectives.
