Panthers take 8-1A Normal Calvary Regional championship

[February 12, 2014]  NORMAL — Two teams from opposite sides of Lincoln traveled up to Normal on Tuesday night to face off for a regional championship. Chester-East Lincoln (19-1) defeated West Lincoln-Broadwell (11-9) 41-26.

Isaiah Bowers and Josh Vinson each scored 14 in the win for the Panthers, while Sam Birnbaum netted 11 and Nick Krumrey added two. Jack Eimer led the Wolverines with nine points while Zach Morris added seven. Also scoring for WLB were Blake Jones with six and Kaden Froebe with four.

The Panthers move on to Wednesday's Hartsburg-Emden Sectional championship game versus East Peoria Robein (18-2) with a 6 p.m. tip.
