Memorial Heart and Vascular named to '100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs'

[February 15, 2014]  SPRINGFIELD — Memorial Medical Center's Heart and Vascular Services was named to Becker's Hospital Review's list of "100 Hospitals With Great Heart Programs."

Becker's editorial team selected hospitals based on recognition for quality care, clinical awards and research contributions to cardiovascular care.

Hospitals on the list have earned recognition as outstanding providers of cardiovascular services, being recognized by U.S. News and World Report, Truven Health Analytics, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the American College of Cardiology Foundation, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Memorial's Heart and Vascular Services was recently named a Blue Distinction Center for cardiac care and has received the American College of Cardiology Foundation's Silver Performance Award for high standards in heart attack care.

Memorial shares its "top 100" status with hospitals such as Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare.
