[February 20, 2014]  ST. LOUIS — The Lincoln Christian University Red Lions men's basketball team visited the Eutectics of St. Louis College of Pharmacy and dropped the second of their two meetings this season. LCU's record is now 9-15 for the season.

The Red Lions continued to struggle with scoring Tuesday night at St. Louis College of Pharmacy's "Pillbox." LCU took nearly 100 shots, but only a third of them saw the inside of the net. The Eutectics, however, were hitting close to half of their shots, so the Red Lions found themselves on the short end of a 39-31 midpoint score.

The second half saw the much of the same for both sides and an eight-point difference was stretched to 15 points. LCU posts its fourth loss in its last five games with a final score of 83-68.

Despite the loss, LCU saw standout performances from sophomore forward Raymond Shegog (Sun River Terrace/Lincoln College) with 18 points and six rebounds, followed by senior guard Blake Saathoff (Bruce, S.D./Estelline High) with 16 points and six rebounds.

Both men's and women's teams will meet Emmaus Bible College on Saturday, with the women's game at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m. There will be a special ceremony to induct two new members of the LCU Athletic Hall of Fame after the women's game, at approximately 2:45 p.m.
