[February 21, 2014]  A message from the National Weather Service in Lincoln at 3:35 a.m. Friday had a flood warning for Logan County due to melting snow. The flood warning is in effect until 12:30 p.m. Friday.

At 3:33 a.m., emergency management reported flooding across the warned area. Many roads across the county have had reports of flooding. Though the rain has subsided, a lot of standing water in the fields has been very slow to recede.

Some locations that will experience flooding are Lincoln, Atlanta, Beason, Chestnut, Cornland, Elkhart, Emden, Hartsburg, Latham, Middletown and Mount Pulaski.

Precautionary, preparedness actions: Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
