James L. McCubbin, 70, of Petersburg, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at
St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

James L. McCubbin, 70, of Petersburg, passed away
February 21, 2014 at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 from
5-7 PM at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Graveside services will be Friday,
February 28, 2014 at 11 AM at Camp Butler National
Cemetery in Riverton.
James was born December 5, 1943 in Pierce, Kentucky,
the son of William Garvis and Lovey Helen (Lyle)
McCubbin. He was employed by Pat Lee Trucking. He
proudly served his country in the united States
Army.

Surviving are his daughter Jami McCubbin and his son
Michael Shay both of Petersburg, IL.; his brother
Roger McCubbin (Mari) of Springfield, IL.;
grandchildren: Dylan McCubbin, Jade Larson, and
Jaxon Harlow; nephews Bryan and Erik McCubbin and
his niece Tiffani McCubbin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and
will be accepted at the funeral home.
