As in their previous game against Manhattan Christian College,
the Red Lions were competitive in the first half, taking the
lead a number of times. LCU went into the locker room at the
midpoint trailing by a single bucket and a score of 39-37.
LCU senior guard Blake Saathoff (Bruce, S.D./Estelline High)
led the Red Lions in scoring for the third straight game with 17
points, and senior guard Brian Dyal (Rockford/Berean Christian
High) contributed 13 points. Rebounds were an issue, as the
Johnson Royals more than doubled LCU on the boards with a 50-22
difference.
The Red Lions will see action again against Emmaus Bible
College on Saturday, Jan. 11, in Dubuque, Iowa.
