[January 04, 2014]  SPRINGFIELD — Good news for families looking to save a little money after the holidays: The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum is offering a bargain admission price every Sunday in January.

Entire families can go to the museum for just $10 on Sundays. They simply go to the museum's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/

and download a coupon. This is a significant savings from the normal admission price of $12 per adult and $6 per child.

The special admission price also includes the new exhibit "Lincoln: History to Hollywood," which features sets, costumes and props from the Oscar-winning movie "Lincoln." The exhibit opens Jan. 17 at the museum's Union Station annex.

The family must consist of at least one parent and can include any number of directly related children. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Visitors to the museum will be able to enjoy a special display of items tied to the Battle of Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Address. In addition, essays by President Obama and three former presidents are featured in the museum's Treasures Gallery.

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum combines rigorous scholarship and high-tech showmanship. The museum features lifelike figures and scenes, special effects, riveting presentations, and "ghosts" to give visitors a better appreciation for Abraham Lincoln's enduring legacy.
