Capt. Benjamin Sloot to speak at Woman's Club tea Wednesday

[January 14, 2014]  Capt. Benjamin Sloot of the U.S. Army Reserves will be guest speaker for the Lincoln Woman's Club tea at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the club building.

Sloot will speak about his deployments to Afghanistan and his experiences in the Reserves. He is a mobilization officer stationed in Darien, Ill., and is the son of George and Ruth Sloot of Lincoln.

Devotions for the meeting will be given by Carol Mills. Greeters will be Marcia Howen and Carolyn Smith. Social chairwomen are Nancy Gehlbach, Karen Lowery and Ellen Dobihal.

Club women will be selecting two members to serve on the nominating committee for the coming year. Members are asked to bring items for Sojourn.
