The public is invited to Camp Griesheim's Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 15 at 5 p.m. in their main facility in Atlanta, Illinois.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.

St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the church's parking lot, at the corner of Eighth and Maple streets.

The public is invited. All ages are welcome to join in the games, snacks, songs, stories and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all for free.

For answers to questions about the event, call the church office, 732-6957.

The carnival is sponsored by the St. John Christian Education Ministry.

SPONSOR: Logan County Love
WHO: Open to everyone
DETAILS: Logan County Love will once again provide a free meal to anyone wishing to join. If you are interested, please stop by and introduce yourself as the group would love to see everyone in the community. Come hungry and leave fulfilled. For this month, the meal will include chicken and noodles. If you are unable to drive but would like a meal, call the church, 217-732-6957, between 5 and 6 pm.

Full Gospel Evangelistic Center will be sponsoring a Benefit concert Saturday, January 18, to help raise money for the Victims and families who lost all they had after a disaster Storm ripped through Illinois! As a Body Of Christ and as people our job is to help those who can’t help themselves to be a light when people are in dark places! In The Bible: Jesus as well as many of the followers who dedicated their lives to The gospel and to the fullness of Jesus, explained the reason behind helping those who are in need! But the one that Sticks out the Most is Mathew 25:35! Which clearly describes if we neglect the poor, or those who can’t do for themselves, then we have neglected God himself! With That Said, The event will be held at The Lincoln Banquet Center, 201 Madigan Drive, Lincoln IL from 3pm to 6pm! 5$ per person-15$ per family! All the proceeds will go to Washington! There will be food and drinks, Guest speakers with Special speaker the Mayor of Washington IL, Performances by: FGEC Praise team, J.R., D-Maub, K-Drama, IDENTITY, The MB, Loud Mouth and more! Also Donations by: Avanti's, Walmart, Subway, Blue Dog Inn, Jim Xamis, "Old" Chicago Pizza, Lincoln State Bank, Family Video, Castle Manor, Stuffed-Aria Pizza and more! Life Pointe Church of God Quarter Auction will be Tuesday, January 28 at 6:30 pm. The church is located at 601 Pulaski St. (old Courier Bldg.) in Lincoln. Public is invited.


Lincoln Area Music Society Chorale is extending an invitation to local singers to join them for the Spring semester. Singers from High School age on up are encouraged to join this great group of people as they prepare for the Spring concerts which will be held March 29th and 30th with the LAMS Orchestra at the Lincoln Community High School Auditorium. The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ beginning January 28, 2014. Music of many styles and eras are included in the concert. solutions for men. God is calling each man to authentic Christian manhood. This study will help you discover what God’s word says about being a Man on Fire. This study begins on Wednesday,
January 15 at 6:30 p.m. Sign up in the Family Room on January 12.
