Lincoln Youth Wrestling results

[January 18, 2014]  Lincoln Youth Wrestling competed in the JAWS invitational youth wrestling tournament on Jan. 5 at the Jacksonville Bowl. The results were as follows:

Tots 6 and under

Logan Baker and Kyle Gellner were champions; Riley Allison took second; and Dayne O'Laughlin was fourth.

Bantams

Copper Atkins was a champion; Jacob Lawrence took third; and Zach Barger placed fourth.

Intermediates

Tony Gandolfi and Austin O'Donoghue were champions; Lucas Hurt and Chase Reed took second; Andy Knox placed third; and Conner Bailey, Raige Barger and Zoe Foertsch placed fourth.

Novices

Alex Bogdanic was champion; Trevor Bree took two; Tyler Werth placed third; and Ryan Hillyer was fourth.

Lincoln Youth Wrestling will compete in the Jon Davis Open on Sunday at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield. This is one of the largest youth tournaments in the state, with over 1,000 wrestlers from all over the state of Illinois.
