[January 24, 2014]  Churches, youth leaders and parents looking to get their teens pumped up in the faith will have to look no further than Lincoln Christian University's second annual The Vine Conference on April 4-5 on the LCU campus. This year's theme, "We are all Witnesses," will take teens on a trek through the dynamic life of Peter as found in the book of Acts.

The Vine Conference is an overnight retreat designed to challenge, engage and refresh high school students in their faith. Check-in starts at 4:30 p.m.

Last year more than 150 youth grabbed on to The Vine, and LCU hopes more will take hold this year.

"It's all about helping students understand how Christ's story makes their stories a part of His legacy and glory," said event organizer Audrey Sackman, who serves as campus visits and communication coordinator at LCU. "We want them to know that their unique stories witness for Christ, even as teenagers."

LCU alumnus Nate Ross, currently an associate minister at Northside Christian Church in New Albany, Ind., will be the keynote speaker. Mitch Wright, a junior majoring in worship studies at LCU, will lead worship. Interactive breakout sessions and discussions will provide attendees with practical and often fun applications to the conference's theme and message.

"We want to reach everyone, no matter where they are in their faith," Sackman added.
