Nicholas 'Nick' Cale

[January 25, 2014]  BEASON — Nicholas "Nick" Shane Cale, 22, of Beason, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 4:36 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Beason: Nicholas "Nick" Shane Cale, 22, of Beason passed away at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln, Friday January 24, 2014 at 4:36 P.M.

Nicholas was born on November 11, 1991 in Springfield, IL son of Brian T. and Kelly R. Overbey Cale; they survive him in Lincoln.

Nick loved farming, ATV riding, motorcycling, and being outdoors.

He graduated Lincoln Community High School and Lincoln Land Community College; with an associate's degree in Agronomy/Fertilizer. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Also surviving are maternal grandparents: Guy and Pam Overbey of Lincoln; paternal grandfather: Timothy Frees of Hudson, FL; great grandmother: Ruth Markwood of Lincoln; brother: Josh Cale of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary C. Cale.

Cremation rites will be accorded for Nick. A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday January 30, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln with Father Jeffrey Liable officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday January 29, 2014 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to Logan County Animal Rescue or The Nick Cale Fund.
