JULY 3

FIREWORKS DEVICES 

Big Fireworks is recalling Big Sword Fountain Devices sold nationwide from April 2014 to June 2014. The handheld fountain device can unexpectedly explode, posing a risk of impact and burn. 

This recall involves Big Sword fireworks devices. The blue and yellow sword has the Big Fireworks logo and the words “Big Sword” printed on the front. The sword measures 30 inches and has model number 3609 printed above the product’s barcode. 

Consumers should return the fireworks to the place of purchase to receive a full refund.

JULY 2

SNOW THROWERS 

All Power America is recalling Single Stage Snow Thrower sold nationwide from September 2012 to December 2013. Exposure to Chinese gasoline for extended periods of time while testing the product overseas caused the carburetor needle to become corroded and allow fuel to leak, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves All Power brand single stage snow throwers. The model number of the recalled snow throwers is SB044P which is printed on a yellow and black sticker located on the top of the unit with the phrase “20 Inch Clearing Width.”

ROUTERS 

Porter-Cable is recalling fixed-base routers and router bases sold nationwide and in Canada from 1990 to April 2014. The router base handles are not insulated, posing an electric shock hazard. 

Four Porter-Cable 3 1/4 horsepower, electric, fixed-base production routers and one production router base are being recalled. A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org.

JULY 1

PC LAPTOPS 

Sony is recalling VAIO Flip PC Laptops sold nationwide from February 2014 to April 2014. The computers’ lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. 

This recall includes Sony’s VAIO Flip PC laptops with model number (product name) SVF11N13CXS. The VAIO logo is etched on the outer top of the computer, near the hinge.
