[July 16, 2014]  LINCOLN - Building and Grounds Committee, Meeting Logan County Safety Complex May 6, 2014

Present: Kevin Bateman; Bob Farmer; Andy Meister; Chuck Ruben; Jan Schumacher
Absent:
Guests: Bill Hoagland; John Terneus; Pete Molt; Amy and Justin Tisder

Mr. Bateman called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Farmer, to approve the minutes from the April 1, 2014 meeting. Motion passed.

Mr. Hoagland from Main Street of Lincoln addressed the committee to thank them for letting LCHS use the Courthouse for Prom Grand March.

Old Business

Exterior Lighting of Courthouse: Keep on agenda for next month.

Safety Complex HVAC bids: Two companies are interested in the HVAC project. Henson Robinson Company and E.L Pruitt Company. Mr. Bateman yielded the floor to both companies to explain their proposals. Henson Robinson Company submitted a bid for 105,000.00 and E.L Pruitt Company submitted a bid for 139,738.00. The committee discussed the idea of borrowing money to fix both the roof and HVAC at the same time. The committee will take it to the full board on May 20, 2014 to be voted on.

Safety Complex roof: Already discussed above with HVAC project

Sandstone and Step repairs: Keep on the agenda for next month. Mr. Bateman is still working on this item.

Benches in Scully Park: Mr. Bateman will have prices at next meeting.

Logan County Website: Mr. Bateman is moving forward with this item. Hopefully next month he will have a cost for the website.

Utility aggregation: This item is still up in the air on what to do.

Court/Visitor sign: The new sign is up and running and working great.

New Business: None

Mr. Bateman gave an update with the sewer problem at John A Logan Building.

Budget Review: No concerns.

A motion was made by Mr. Meister, seconded by Mr. Ruben, to approve the bills. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Ruben, seconded by Mr. Meister to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 8:02 pm.
