[July 21, 2014]  LINCOLN — Louis F. Schick, 58, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at his home.

Visitation: Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. prior to the visitation.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church , Lincoln

Obituary

Louis F. Schick, 58, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible and Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the visitation.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lincoln.

Louis F. Schick was born on October 20, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Raymond and Fayetta Carthey Schick.
He was united in marriage to Michelle Campion on October 27, 1978 in Minneapolis, MN. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Daniel (Ann) Schick of Normal, Anna (William) Mardauss, Christine Schick both of Lombard, Matthew Schick of Chicago. His mother: Fayetta Kahofer, Seven Sisters: Susan (Clarke) Wilson, Kris (Jerry) Schwien, Sally (John) Vogel, Kathy (Larry) Tegmeir , Virginia (Harry) York, Patti (Tracy) O'Dell, Diane (Kevin)Krebs, One granddaughter: Emery Mardauss.

He was preceded in death by his father and infant sister: Rose.

Lou graduated from Davenport West High School in Davenport, Iowa and Winona State University Winona, Minnesota.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council # 1260 where he was also a 4th Degree Knight.

Lou had previously owned Schick's Clothing in Lincoln and was a manager for Spurgeon's. He currently has been employed by Kroger as a manager both in Lincoln and Bloomington.

Lou was a devoted family man who enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and all sports.

Memorials may be made to either Carroll School or the Knights of Columbus Council # 1260 .
