Funeral Arrangements are pending at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Atlanta- Richard C. Schumacher, 76, of Atlanta passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home.

Graveside services for Mr. Schumacher will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery with Pastor Oscar Owens officiating.

Richard Charles Schumacher was born on September 9, 1937 in Chicago the son of Charles and Myrtle Hacker Schumacher. He was united in marriage to Martha McCario in 1983. She survives in Lincoln.

Also surviving are one niece: Karla Fuchs of Plainfield, two nephews: Peter Schumacher of Texas, David Schumacher of Lombard. one great nephew: Tyler Fuchs.

Mr. Schumacher retired from the Lincoln Development Center.

His hobbies included woodworking and flying model airplanes.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad , Logan County Humane Society or the American Diabetes Foundation.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
