[July 21, 2014]  LINCOLN - The Board of Directors of Main Street Lincoln announces that William Hoagland has tendered his resignation as Executive Director, Main Street Lincoln effective September 15, 2014.

"My association with MSL's Board of Directors has been a rewarding experience. The board members are gifted and passionate individuals with whom I have enjoyed working and sharing my love of the historic district of Lincoln," said Mr. Hoagland.

The Board of Directors will not be seeking a replacement as Main Street Lincoln will be absorbed by the new organization being developed under the direction of the Unified Organizations Committee (UOC) at the end of the year.

"We are extremely thankful for Bill's service over the past couple years as the organization has undergone a successful transformation and achieved a great number of successes," said President Tracy Welch. "The numerous relationships that Main Street Lincoln has been able to foster and build in Bill's time with the organization is due to his passion for seeing Lincoln's downtown historic district thrive and prosper. We have also seen tremendous success with our fundraising events, such as the Art of Wine and Brew, due to Bill's vision and desire to host high quality events for the community. I don't know what the future holds for Bill but you can be sure that whatever he pursues will be done with professionalism, passion, and a friendly smile. We wish Bill all the best."
