Mount Pulaski adult bands go back to the mid-1800’s when its
brass band played for Abraham Lincoln’s speech promoting the
candidacy of Col. John C. Fremont at Atlanta’s Union Hall in October
of 1856.
The Wednesday evening performance will begin at 7 p.m. The public is
invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening
under the stars. Those older citizens who wish to, may park on the
south side of the square and hear the music from their cars.
This performance will feature the trombone section and will also be
celebrating the 30th anniversary of the movie “Footloose”.
