Chamber hosts downtown luncheon to give

LINCOLN - The Lincoln/Logan County
Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meeting on Wednesday, July 30, 2014
at noon at Lincoln Christian Church for downtown businesses. All
business owners/operators and employees are invited to attend this
informational luncheon to gather more details about the 2014 Lincoln
Art & Balloon Festival.

This will be the second annual meeting held specifically for
downtown businesses to share information about the downtown portion
of the annual festival. Last year organizers of the event fielded
questions from representatives of downtown businesses and exchanged
information about the event. “We walked away from the meeting with a
great deal of information that helped guide our planning efforts for
this year’s event. One of the big requests that we heard was the
desire to have some sort of hot-air balloon present downtown. We’ve
been able to secure a tethered balloon to run from the lot behind
Lincoln Christian Church” Said Andi Hake, Executive Director of the
Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
There are many changes to the downtown layout of the Festival this
year. The top priority for this meeting is to communicate these
changes and gather any information from our downtown businesses that
will assist in the planning efforts and help the festival organizers
serve those businesses better.
