[July 31, 2014]  July 30 (The Sports Xchange) - The Los Angeles Kings agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with restricted free agent left winger Dwight King, the team announced Wednesday.

The two sides agreed on a $5.85 million deal, forgoing the need for Friday's salary arbitration hearing, according to USA Today.

The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with forward Matt Halischuk on a one-year, two-way contract worth $725,000, the team announced Wednesday.

Halischuk, 26, played 46 games with the Jets last season and had five goals, five assists and six penalty minutes.

The St. Louis Blues signed forward Peter Mueller to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Wednesday.

Mueller, 26, dressed in 49 games for Kloten in the Swiss professional league (NLA) last season, leading the club and ranking third league-wide with 46 points, including a league-best 24 goals. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
