The public is invited to Camp Griesheim's Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 15 at 5 p.m. in their main facility in Atlanta, Illinois.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.

St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the church's parking lot, at the corner of Eighth and Maple streets.

The public is invited. All ages are welcome to join in the games, snacks, songs, stories and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all for free.

The carnival is sponsored by the St. John Christian Education Ministry.

WHO: Open to everyone
DETAILS: Logan County Love will once again provide a free meal to anyone wishing to join. If you are interested, please stop by and introduce yourself as the group would love to see everyone in the community. Come hungry and leave fulfilled. For this month, the meal will include chicken and noodles. If you are unable to drive but would like a meal, call the church, 217-732-6957, between 5 and 6 pm.

Princess Tea – Under the Sea

Tickets are on sale now in the Lincoln Christian Church office for this year’s Princess Tea~Under the Sea, Saturday, June 7 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Center. The Princess Tea is for young ladies ages 3 to12 and their adult guests. Tickets are $10.00 each, and all proceeds go to Harvest of Talents for World Hunger.


Community Ministry Opportunity

The City of Lincoln is inviting area churches to "adopt" a flower bed in our city parks for the summer. Basic gardening skills are required. This
would be a great opportunity for classes, groups, and individuals to serve our community.

Mt. Pulaski Christian Church VBS

will be held June 9 thru 13th from 9am to 11:45am. Take a walk on the wild side with “Weird Animals”, meet new friends, perform amazing experiments, play untamed games, enjoy lip-smacking snacks, take surprising adventures and learn incredible music! Sunday, June 15th, Mt. Pulaski Christian Church is hosting Father's Day Sunday Worship on the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Lawn

 

Join us for Breakfast beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church Family Life Center
followed by activities and games on the courthouse lawn.
 

Worship begins at 9:30 a.m.

(Nursery care provided during the 9:30 a.m. service for infants to 3 years old)

We will have chairs set up on the lawn, but please feel free to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for the worship service, too.

Golf cart transportation will be available from the Family Life Center breakfast to the courthouse lawn for all elderly/disabled persons.

Faith Lutheran Church, 2320 N. Kickapoo St. in Lincoln will be hosting “Group Weird Animals” VBS June 16th thru 20th from 9am to noon.  Registration forms are available at Faith Lutheran Church or by calling (217) 732-4901.  Plan to join us help kids discover Jesus” One-Of-A-Kind Love!

 


Open Arms Christian Fellowship is hosting a 1st annual fundraising auction & BBQ, Sat. June 21st from noon to 4pm at 311 Broadway St. in Lincoln. All proceeds will support Royal Rangers Post#289, a growing ministry of Open Arms Christian Fellowship – the church who brings you Family Fun Day. Royal Rangers meet on Thursday nights from 7-8:30pm. A free meal is served at 6:30pm. Royal Rangers are currently for boys Pre-K to 5th grade (this fall expanding through 12th grade). For more information call the church at 732-4800.


Summer Group Motorcycle Rides

Group motorcycle rides are being organized for any who want to go along. The first ride will be Saturday, June 21 to Havana, along the west side of the river to Pekin, find a place to eat, then home. Other rides are being planned for two Saturdays, July 19 and August 23, destinations
unknown. The group will meet at Jefferson Street Christian Church at 9:00 a.m. on these three Saturdays. If interested, call Carl Boward at 217-737-4594.


 

Lincoln Christian Church, 204 N. McLean St., Lincoln will be hosting VBS June 22-26 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8). Sign up your student for Vacation Bible School!! VBS (Weird Animals theme this year) will take place from June 23-27 from 8:30 am at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Lincoln. Zion Lutheran Church, 205 Pulaski St. in Lincoln will be hosting Vacation Bible School, June 23-27 from 9am to 12 noon. Water, water everywhere…and through it are lessons about God’s plan of salvation. “River of Life” is a week-long curriculum that features five favorite Bible stories: Creation, Noah and the ark, the crossing of the Red Sea, Jonah and the baptism of Jesus.
