[June 10, 2014]  The Logan County Relay for Life would like to say a sincere ‘Thank-you!” to the students of Northwest and Jefferson Elementary Schools in Lincoln.

On Friday, the students held their Relay Recess, Mini-Relay for Life with such respect and excitement, those who attended – survivors and guests from the ‘adult’ teams -- were totally “blown away.”

The stations of education, the touch of food to tap into the relay theme this year “Cookin’ Up a Cure For Cancer” and above all, the touching mini-relay with school survivors and others who were invited, being quietly watched as they walked the track – such compassion – this community should be proud!

The two schools fundraising efforts bringing in over $1000 is quite an accomplishment. The students have set the bar high for the adult relay walkers. But most of all the gift of themselves and their relay is priceless. THANK YOU!
