Work begins for new Aquatic Center at the Lincoln Park District

It’s been three summers since there has been swimming at the Lincoln Park District. But this week there is a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Demolition began on the old swimming pool with plans to start construction of the state-of-the-art Aquatic Center in the very near future.

Park district director Marsha Greenslate recently said she has her sights set on a grand-reopening of the pool for Memorial Day weekend, 2015.
